As we all know, feed pellets have balanced nutrition for livestock. Their raw materials are usually alfalfa, soybean, grain, bran, meat and bone meal, etc. All of these raw materials need to be pulverized into small particles and mixed thoroughly before put into the feeder of feed mill plant. Besides, the mixing of them should according to the ingredients and quantity that have been standardized to provide the maximum nutrition for animals’ growth.
Our feed mill plants mainly have two kinds: flat die feed pellet mill and ring die feed pellet mill. The flat die feed pellet mill is usually for small scale feed pellets production, while the ring die type is for large scale production and commercial use. To make feed pellets with either kind of feed pellet mill, the powders of raw materials will fall down into the space between the rollers and the die after being put into the feeder of pellet mill. And they will be compressed into the holes in the die by a series of rollers to form pellets. Temperature inside the pellet mill rises because of strong force and high pressure, thus increasing the output rate of feed pellets. The finished pellets will be cut into the pre-determined uniform length by a series of knives the moment they emerge the die.
