Solvent Extractor
Oil solvent extraction is an important process in oil production. Rotary extractor and loop extractor are two of the most popular solvent extractors in the process of oil solvent extraction.
Rotary extractor adopts a variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF), and it is very popular for many different pre-pressed oil cakes. The chain transmission imparts smooth and reliable operation. The fixed-plate grid is made of stainless steel. Its precise 18-cell design and transverse plate grid prevent concentrated miscella from flowing to incorrect chambers.
Loop extractor, however, adopts a chain driving system, which has many advantages, like: less power consumption, less maintenance, and low noise. The rotating speed of loop extractor can be adjusted automatically according to the quantity of incoming oilseeds, which ensures the level of the bin is stable. All of these help to form micro negative-pressure in the extractor to prevent the escape of solvent gas.

Solvent Extraction Process
The well prepared materials enter the solvent extractor through the rotating air seal. The solvent extractor is mainly composed of a very slow moving articulated band conveyor inside the entirely closed chamber. The band is lined with perforated sheets and porous stainless steel cloth. A slow moving bed is formed by the materials moving on the band. When moving, the bed is washed by miscella of decreasing concentrations and then by a fresh solvent in a counter current way by means of spraying in a line over the meal bed. The miscella percolates through the perforated bottom and then is collected in various hoppers kept below the bed. The last hopper is concentrated, from which the miscella is taken off for distillation.
