Wood Pellets Production Line Process
Crushing: First and foremost, the raw materials need to be crushed into small particles less than 3mm in diameter and length. In this process, wood crusher or hammer is usually necessary.
Drying: The best moisture content for pelletizing is 12%-15%. Therefore, you’d better use dryer if the moisture content is higher than 15%. The common plants are rotary dryer and hot blast stove.
Pelletizing: After crushing and drying, the raw materials can be put into the feeder of wood pellet mill. Our wood pellet mills are specially made for pelletizing all kinds of wood: both hard wood and soft wood. The rollers and the die are made of high-quality material. Our wood pellet mills enjoy many advantages, like: compact structure, low noise, low power consumption, and long service life.
Cooling: The temperature of newly finished wood pellets is between 60 and 80 degrees Celsius. The moisture content of these pellets is typically about 15%. Therefore, the cooler is used to reduce the pellets’ temperature and moisture.
Packing: After cooling, wood pellets should avoid being affected by damp, so packing is very necessary. What’s more, transportation and storage becomes much more easily after packing the finished pellets.
